Social and with little patience for personal space, Marius is as invasive as they come. He isn't used to having things to himself so he doesn't mind sharing anything and might forget other's aren't as generous. It's not that he wants to be obnoxious, he just tends to forget that not everyone is as laid back about those things as he is. He is patient with other people's mistakes and tends to laugh them off. With himself he is much less forgiving. Marius is competitive and argumentative. His lacking vocabulary in italian frustrates him to no end, seeing as it turns verbal fights into a thing of impossibility now, even though in German and English that's one of his strongest points.

Marius had to compete for his parent's attention with his eleven siblings, which naturally wasn't as easy as it would have been with one or two. This caused his older siblings to be additional parental figures for him to the point of them attending his parent-teacher talks. Elementary school sports events were somewhat of a nightmare for Marius, seeing as the whole family would attend and cheer him on extremely loudly. Seeing as he won quite a few of those competitions back then, there was no end to the ruckus they made. They had no shame nor chill. To this day they are an extremely tight knit family and make sure to stay up to date with everyone's life by calling once a week.

Sharing a room with two of his brothers, the offer to transfer to a foreign school for a year sounded extremely tempting. A half italian friend of his told him about the school and Marius decided to give it a try, since the deadline for applications was approaching fast. The problem was that he barely knew a word of italian, so his research was rather superficial. He only started to learn the language in a crash course four weeks before going to italy. Maybe he should have consulted his dictionary before joining a famiglia.
